YES, WE ARE STILL ROOTING FOR EVERYBODY BLACK.

So far, 2018 has been a pretty lit year for the universal Black community. “Black Panther” has hit record numbers, but are we surprised?! In addition, Black women are winning left and right; making history, moves and money!

Amongst the whirlwind of jubilant successes and noteworthy happenings, Janelle Monáe debuted the video for her newest single “Django Jane” from her “Dirty Computer Album.” The "pussy power" anthem is a bold and powerful testament of Monáe's creativity and political positions. She calls men and society out in a feverishly blunt rhyme, accompanied by chic and artistic imagery.

Monáe's all female royal cast is decked out in Black and proud garb, with an abundance of green vegetation to plant seeds of fertility and prosperity in the subconscious mind. Capturing the eye with red, green and purple suits to represent the aforementioned themes, Monáe delivers her rhythmic manifesto from her queenly throne. Lyrically, Monáe declares Black Pussy as the genesis of all. Time traveling her life experiences from past to present, she pays homage to divine femininity and verbally sends toxic masculinity to the guillotine.

So, if she's the GOAT would anyone doubt it? HELL NAW.

Check out the militant melody below and sound off! Is the track smooth or smacked?

The Short List: 2018 GRAMMY Looks That Served

Hey ya’ll hey! So I’m back. Opening the new year with some decadent GRAMMY Fashion! We will begin our course with Lady Gaga. Always dishing out drama, yet showed restraint. The robust train with soft lace is a nod to the Gaga we know and love, all while leaving the taste of elegance and grace on the tongue.

SZA has effortlessly stayed true to her free spirit aesthetic, while simultaneously elevating her look with sequin, tulle and feather embellishments.
